Stewart & Stevenson customizes diesel engines and transmissions from world-class engine manufacturers, including MTU Detroit Diesel, Electro-Motive, Deutz, Allison and others, into engineered packages that power drilling, well servicing and pumping requirements for the oil and gas industry. These engines, power units, and pump packages increase productivity, improve efficiencies and reduce costs.

Stewart & Stevenson’s well servicing pump packages are built for rugged applications and challenging environments. They feature 4-stroke, 6-cylinder turbocharged diesel engines that offer 375 hp, and pumps with up to 310 bhp input on heavy-duty structural steel skids.

We utilize the Series 60, 2000, and 4000 MTU Detroit Diesel engines in well servicing packages, new and repowered mud pumps, and power units in horsepower ranges from 300 to 3000. These are ideal for applications where high torque and horsepower are demanded. The Detroit Diesel Series 60, available in power ranges from 300 to 665 hp, is utilized to power drawworks, well servicing rigs, seismic vibrators, blenders, cementers, mud pumps, drill rigs and wire line snubbing.

We utilize Allison transmissions to build torque converters that multiply torque hydraulically to lengthen the life of the engine and the equipment coupled with it. Allison transmissions utilized in oilfield equipment ensure fuel economy, increased productivity and high performance.

Deutz diesel engines utilized to power petroleum related service support equipment are Tier II compliant, compact, quiet, and fuel-efficient. Deutz engines include the integrated, cost-effective air-cooling 913/914 model offering from 50 to180 hp; the externally cooled 2012 model, 4 and 6 cylinder in-line engines ranging from 100–200 hp, and the 1015 model, 6 and 8 cylinder modular concept V-type engines ranging from 200 to 590 hp. All three models offer a wide choice of integrated auxiliary power take-offs to provide the flexibility to meet the most demanding applications.

EPA Tier II certified Electro-Motive diesel engines in stationary power units provide 800 to 5000 bhp. They are utilized in pipeline and dredge pump applications.

Stewart & Stevenson couples quality aftermarket service and parts support with every product that we sell.
